Wendy J. Pabich, Ph.D.

Wendy J. Pabich, Ph.D., is Founder and President of Water Futures, where she brings over thirty years experience in the water sector as a scientist and policy expert. She has an unparalleled breadth and depth of understanding of the scientific, technological, political, regulatory, and financial aspects of the water sector. She provides her clients incisive strategic analysis of risk and opportunity to help them make informed water decisions and ensure water security.

Wendy has taught for Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and The Sierra Institute, and is author of Taking on Water: How One Water Expert Challenged Her Inner Hypocrite, Reduced Her Water Footprint (without Sacrificing a Toasty Shower), and Found Nirvana.  She holds a Ph.D. in Hydrology and Biogeochemistry and a Masters in Public Policy and Planning from MIT; an M.S. in Geology from Duke University; a B.A. in Geography from Dartmouth College; and received a 40-hour certificate in Dispute Mediation from Harvard Law School. Wendy has been a member of International Women’s Forum and served on the board of directors for the Blaine County Land, Water and Wildlife Fund. She is an Advisor to the Sun Valley Institute for Resilience.
